Frequently Asked Questions

Every writing project is different, and it is natural to have questions before asking for editorial support.

Below are some of the questions we are asked most often.

I   What is the difference between proofreading and editing?

Proofreading focuses on the final checks of a document, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and formatting.

Editing looks more closely at the writing itself, including clarity, structure, flow and whether the intended meaning is being communicated effectively.

II   Do you rewrite my work?

No. Our role is not to replace your writing style with our own.

We work with you to improve clarity and readability while preserving your own voice and ideas.

III   Can you help if English is not my first language?

Yes. We help writers who use English as an additional language to express themselves naturally and confidently.

IV   How do I know which service I need?

Every project begins with a conversation. We will discuss your aims, review your work and help determine the most suitable level of support.

V   How do I request a quotation?

Please contact us with some information about your project and, where possible, provide a representative sample of your writing.

This allows us to understand the work involved and prepare an accurate quotation.

VI   Will my work remain confidential?

Yes. We treat all client work as confidential and handle your writing with care and respect.
