Writing Naturally in English

Writing naturally in English is about more than using correct grammar. It is about expressing your thoughts confidently and clearly in a way that other English speakers will understand.

Every language has its own rhythm, expressions and ways of communicating ideas. Knowing the words is good but the order and context are just as important. To be able to write expressively you also have to understand how the words are used.

English is a difficult language to write because there are many words which sound the same but are spelled differently and others which are spelled the same but have very different meanings. English humour, accents, dialects and colloquialisms are all nuances which are difficult to teach but are important when targetting an English speaking audience.

Even though you can communicate verbally in English, it doesn't necessarily follow that your written English will be understood. Understanding how to communicate your ideas more effectively in English can open up your world, provide greater opportunities and allow your writing to reach a wider audience.
