Editorial Support for Your Manuscript

We provide editorial support for authors working on novels, memoirs and other manuscripts, from work in progress through to completed drafts. Our role is to provide an objective editorial perspective, identifying areas that may require further development or refinement while preserving the writer's individual voice and style.

Structure, Continuity and Development

Depending on where you are in the writing process, we can work with your manuscript at different levels. This may include looking at the overall structure and flow of the work, identifying inconsistencies or gaps in the plot, and checking continuity in character names, descriptions, relationships, locations and timelines.

Detailed Editing and Final Checks

At sentence level, we can review clarity, structure, repetition, dialogue and word choice. For memoirs and other non-fiction, this may include identifying factual information that needs checking or instances where dates, events and other details appear inconsistent. These will be flagged for your attention rather than changed based on assumptions about what you intended. Once the editing is complete, a final proofread can check spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting and other presentation details before you take the next step with your manuscript.
